Replenishing steelhead

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources on Friday, April 6, planted 20,100 steelhead fingerlings in the Black River in South Haven. The event occurred at the city’s Black River launching ramp, as shown in the photo above. Fingerlings came from the DNR’s Wolf Lake Fishery in Paw Paw. It is an annual planting in cooperation with the South Haven Steeleaders organization.
